Jewelry

I have so many stories of Shane. . . so I will keep going. When I was working at the Polar Freeze Shane used to come in and I would take my break. We would sit together at one of the tables and go through the jewelry sales adds. He would ask me what pieces I liked and what I thought other girls might like. So sneaky that boy. . . We would go through the whole add and check out things I thought was cute. Then he would ask what I wanted and I would answer with some stupid comment about I didn't want jewelry from him. I know he bought some of the things we looked at because for a long time a jewelry bag hung from the rear view mirror that had one of the necklaces. I would tease him about getting rid of it and he finally did. I think I know who got it but I'm not sure. :)

Just some memories...

I told Christy I wouldn’t share this but, I changed my mind. In 6th grade (when all of the girls were starting to wear bras) we would often play tag. Shane was the infamous bra snapper! I think Kelly liked Shane so I never really had a thing for him. I did however find a Polaroid pictures from our 6th grade trip entitled SHANE’S BUTT. I must have caught him as he turned around?

I remember too, in about 7th grade Shane hung out with me and Kelly and Christy and Lynn and Susan (and others) between classes etc. We would stand around and talk about dreams we had had. I never thought it strange that he was the only guy. He gave us great insight! LOL!

Shane was always a good friend to me. He was a great person with a smile always at the ready. He will be greatly missed.

Drivin'

Shane and Lynn loved to gang up on me in High School. They would get me talking and then we would get into his truck to go for a drive with me in the middle. As soon as we were out of town Shane would yell, "NOW!" and he and Lynn would slam their seetbelts on and Shane would hit the gas. All over the hills we would go with Lynn hugging the door and safe in her seatbelt and me screaming because I didn't have anything to hang onto. Shane would see how many times he could get my head to hit the roof of the truck and then he would turn around and go back to school so we wouldn't miss our last class.

Shane - My Cuz

Shane was my cousin first. . . Actually he is my mother's cousin but since we were the same age he's mine. My first memory of Shane was when my parents were building our house in Littlefield. I was 4. Shane was probably 5. Uncle Nephi had come up to help my grandpa work on our house and Shane had come too. We spent the day playing in my grandma's yard and having 4/5 year old fun. Probably making messes and getting in the way. That I don't remember too much. I do remember walking up to our house to see what was going on. On the way up the hill Shane asked me to marry him. I thought about it for a second and replied with something like, "I am not going to get married for a long time and wouldn't it be weird since we are cousins." I am sure that he wasn't too crushed because I know he moved on quickly. How many girls did he ask before kindergarten was over? And who wants to admit that Shane was their first kiss? Yuk, not mine. . . He was my cousin and I don't care about kissin' cousins that was just weird.
