I told Christy I wouldn’t share this but, I changed my mind. In 6th grade (when all of the girls were starting to wear bras) we would often play tag. Shane was the infamous bra snapper! I think Kelly liked Shane so I never really had a thing for him. I did however find a Polaroid pictures from our 6th grade trip entitled SHANE’S BUTT. I must have caught him as he turned around?
I remember too, in about 7th grade Shane hung out with me and Kelly and Christy and Lynn and Susan (and others) between classes etc. We would stand around and talk about dreams we had had. I never thought it strange that he was the only guy. He gave us great insight! LOL!
Shane was always a good friend to me. He was a great person with a smile always at the ready. He will be greatly missed.

To Shane & his Family: from his 1st wife:
ReplyDeleteShane was kind; he was mean;
he was a man……..no in-between.
He married young, at 18;
His wife however just 16!!
Regardless of the age they were,
They still adored they’re little girl!
They named her D, and she is bright,
add smart and kind, and all that’s right!!!
She’s wonderful and struggling, she is the oldest of his seed
He then remarried; this was it
Vonda, and Jade were first on his list!!
They loved they lived, no matter what
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.
Next came Katherine & little Kaylee,
for her and Shane no wondering.
Kaylee’s smart & beautiful, it’s kind of like de’javuu
Shane got hurt and fought so hard,
but in the end, it had to end.
We mourn and cry, I wish him well, we love u Shane, theirs no despair.
The kids are fine, don’t you fret.
Live on, live well, with no regrets!
Leona you hit the nail right on the head.
